Started by Ed Hoehn in 2004, the Waseca Youth Football Association has been giving kids the opportunity to learn about the sport of football, teamwork, sacrifice, and hard work. Prior to 2004 Waseca didn’t have a youth football season, only shorter camps. Ed was volunteering with the Waseca Varsity team in 2003. While in New Ulm with the Varsity team he saw a Pop Warner football team practicing. He talked to the coaches and players of that team and was instantly motivated. Right then, right there, he decided Waseca was going to have a youth football program that following year.

The goal of this association is to introduce kids to the sport. Our program focuses on being better every day. Our coaches encourage players to not only be better players, but teammates, students, and children. We believe these fundamentals help mold our players into successful members of our community.
